WILD BLUE

WILD BLUE tastes like a New Hampshire summer bottled up: wild Maine blueberries, ginger, and lemon zest, best enjoyed lakeside, seaside, or wherever the evening finds you.

Picture a porch on the New Hampshire Seacoast, the kind with a screen door that never quite latches right, string lights just starting to matter as the sky goes dusky blue. Somewhere nearby, there's a lake, or maybe the ocean, or maybe just a backyard with a decent grill going. That's the setting North Country Hard Cider had in mind when they made WILD BLUE.

This is a sweet hard cider built around wild Maine blueberries, with fresh ginger and lemon zest folded in for lift. The blueberries do the heavy lifting, deep and a little wild-tasting the way foraged fruit always is, while the ginger and lemon keep it from ever turning cloying. It pours a hazy violet-blue, the kind of color that looks like summer even before you've taken a sip.

North Country makes their cider out of a tasting room in Dover, New Hampshire, tucked into the Seacoast region where the Piscataqua River meets a string of small towns that take their orchards and their cider seriously. It's the kind of place where a Friday evening means pulling into the gravel lot, grabbing a stemless glass, and not being in any particular hurry to leave.

Summer in New England is going strong, and WILD BLUE is packed with the flavors you'll want to pair with it all.

That's the brewery's own line on it, and it's hard to argue. This is a cider built for the exact moment you're in when you're drinking it, whether that's lakeside, seaside, or just wherever the evening happens to find you.

WILD BLUE lands at the North Country tasting room this Friday, July 17th, on tap and in 4-packs to go.

Some drinks ask you to slow down and think. This one just asks you to be somewhere nice when you have it.
