I need to talk about this one immediately because Hudson Valley Brewery has bottled a genuinely specific feeling and I am completely charmed by it. There's this window every summer evening, right when the heat softens and the whole day slows down, everything goes pink and gold at the same time, and that's exactly what they were chasing with Pink Lemonade Silhouette.
This is a Sour IPA, and the brewery says it reminds them of summer camp Country Time Lemonade or a frozen strawberry daiquiri at the start of a tropical vacation, and honestly? Spot on. Some things just taste like summer, full stop, and they're clearly not in any rush to overthink this one, they're just letting it be exactly what it is.
Beacon, New York's Hudson Valley Brewery has this incredible knack for turning a genuine feeling into an actual beer instead of just slapping a summery name on something generic, and Pink Lemonade Silhouette might be the clearest example yet. It's playful without being a gimmick, and it's the kind of beer you want in hand the second the temperature climbs.
It's part of this week's new releases, so get to it before that golden hour window closes on you too.
Some beers you drink. This one you kind of just want to sit inside of for a while.
