Light Orange

Cape May Light Orange takes the brewery's classic light lager and folds in a splash of citrus, the kind of beer built for a cooler full of ice and a day with absolutely nowhere else to be.

Picture it: the sun's out, the cooler's packed, and the whole day is sitting there wide open with nothing on the schedule but good weather and better company. That's the exact feeling Cape May Brewing Co. built this beer around, and they've named it plainly enough that there's no mystery about what you're getting.

Light Orange takes the brewery's classic light lager and adds a bright twist of refreshing orange flavor to that already crisp, clean finish. It's a small batch release at 4.2% ABV, easy-drinking in the way only a proper light lager can be, with just the right amount of citrus riding alongside it, never so much that it stops feeling like a lager and starts feeling like a shandy pretending otherwise.

There's something honest about a beer that commits fully to being uncomplicated. Cape May, working out of its namesake shore town on the southern tip of New Jersey, has built a whole identity on beers made for the boardwalk and the beach chair, and Light Orange slots right into that tradition, a beer designed less for savoring slowly and more for disappearing over the course of an afternoon that you're in absolutely no hurry to end.

Available now in the Tasting Room, small batch, so it won't necessarily be sitting around waiting for you.

Some beers ask you to think. This one just asks you to find some shade and stay a while.
