Reflections In Time

Reflections In Time is Original Pattern's orange juice and papaya soaked Hazy IPA, built for cliffside sunsets and the sort of core memories you make when the beer is this good.

Original Pattern Brewing Co. has a talent for naming beers like short films, and Reflections In Time fits that pattern nicely. This Hazy IPA comes in at 6.7% ABV, built with New Zealand Motueka, Citra, and Amarillo hops, a combination that leans hard into bright, full-bodied fresh orange juice, papaya, and mango peel.

The brewery describes it as perfect for cliffside conversations with friends and watching waves crash through a sunbeam haze, which is either very good marketing copy or an accurate description of exactly where you should be drinking this. Either way, the beer backs it up: juicy, orange-forward, and dangerously easy to keep reaching for.

This is one of six new releases from the Oakland brewery this week, part of a lineup built specifically to keep the taproom's rotation fresh and give regulars a reason to swing back through. Original Pattern's whole approach seems to be brew it well, brew it often, and don't be precious about keeping any one beer around forever, you never know when it'll make its return to the tap list.

Available in the taproom and shipping Friday at noon, with delivery across California for anyone who'd rather not leave the couch.

Whether or not you're actually cliffside this weekend, Reflections In Time is doing its best to convince you that you should be.
